Advanced crack tip field characterization using conjugate work integrals

چکیده
The quantitative characterization of crack tip loads is fundamental in fracture mechanics. Although the potential influence higher order terms on growth and stability known, classical studies solely rely first stress intensity factors. We calculate Williams coefficients using an integral technique based conjugate work integrals study convergence with increasing distance. compare method to state-of-the-art fitting provide results for higher-order several lengths, external forces, sizes widely used middle tension, single-edge cracked compact tension specimen under mode-I loading.
